Sharing our story and passion
Dawn and Lucky Read’s incredible journey together began in 2014; but many years before, their individual lives were not without major trials and tribulations, heartbreaks and setbacks.
Dawn was a professional fitness trainer for over two decades, helping thousands of people regain the life, health and fitness they’d otherwise thought was gone. Her public life was busy, lucrative and fulfilling; and “leaving people better” brought her immense JOY.
But on the inside—her heart, relationship, and personal life was crumbling. After multiple devastating heartbreaks from a tumultuous, abusive marriage, she finally reached the end of her rope and said, “No more.”
Her personal awakening culminated after days of nonstop mental anguish with the serious pondering of ending her own life. But, in that moment, in a FLASH, in the thought of the PERMANENCE of it, she realized she didn’t REALLY want to DIE. She finally wanted to really LIVE.
For the next few years, she dug into herself, with brutally honest time in the mirror. After realizing the power, she possessed to shape her present and future, the depth of her heart’s capacity to heal, and love again, and that she was no longer a “survivor,” she ascended to a level of honesty, commitment to her own heart, and way of personal living she termed “Master Thrivalism.”
Healed, she was ready to set her own life ablaze, and take as many people with her as possible. Her business was booming and growing; yet with everything to the onlooker appearing “perfect,” she began to feel there was something MORE for her ahead. A desire was conceived.

When the universe intervenes
Life answered. In May 2013, sitting alone at an intersection, waiting for a green light, she was hit from behind at a high speed by a distracted driver.
In a moment, EVERYTHING changed. Her injuries were substantial. Her rewarding career in fitness, that she had loved for many years, would soon be over.
She just didn’t know it, yet.
Over the next year, as she assessed the physical damage the wreck had caused her, as all the physical things she loved participating in personally and professionally began slipping away, she wondered,
“WHY?”
After all the work on herself, after everything she went through, and after CHOOSING to LIVE, WHY would Life throw this on her NOW?
As she reckoned with closing the book on so many chapters at once, she eventually stopped asking the useless questions of “Why?” And “What if?” And instead began asking, What, NOW?
She was still alive for a REASON, she had beaten the odds that emotional and physical traumas had heaped on her more than once; and STILL there was a fire burning inside, for a grander life, and a healthy, amazing LOVE.

Lucky and Dawn Read’s Amazing Life together was FORGED through the FIRE that created the people they became, individually, long before they met.
With 30 years under his belt, Lucky became well known in the entertainment industry as one of the top requested truck and tour bus drivers. He was a cool head under pressure, and consistently worked in lead driver positions with some of the biggest names in show business—known not only for his skillset and experience, but also his unshakable nature, through the insanity and chaos of life on the road.
Decades of touring—witnessing everything that could possibly happen behind the scenes and behind closed doors—made him keenly aware of the pitfalls of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll. As he witnessed many artists self-destruct before him, he quickly realized they all had certain things in common. So, for most of his career, when the other roadies and drivers tried to balance their work duties with living the rock and roll lifestyle, or spent their time listening to music or chatting it up on the CB radio, while over three million miles clicked by beneath him, Lucky deep dove Human Needs Psychology, Strategic Intervention, the Laws of the Universe, and all types of Personal Development tapes and programs,
He became commonly known by roadies and artists as the most well-adjusted guy on tour.
So well adjusted, that more than one artist made their way to his driving area of the bus, and began long, late-night talks with him. Some artists began seeing a different way of thinking through Lucky’s influence. Eventually, even a few of the big names hired him to help them find their way back to the happiness they once had before making it “big.”
This brought incredible satisfaction to Lucky, on one hand. Yet, at the same time, his home life was anything BUT idyllic.

But what made it worse—each time he left for weeks or months, because of his ongoing personal development studies, he returned home to his spouse with BETTER life skills than before he left, which only increased the gaps in communication and riffs between them. His first marriage lasted 18 years, and second, less than half that. Both marriages produced children, and, even though he quickly came to terms with the dead marriages, arriving to an empty home, and seeing his kids being raised in another man’s house, weighed more and more heavily on him.
Lucky’s crisis point came following a short but very rocky relationship. Their breakup seemed to be the straw that broke him. Coupled with the ongoing grief of losing his kids, and the explosiveness of six months with a narcissist, in a moment of grief, panic and deep despair, he contemplated and even planned taking his own life.
It would be so EASY, and painless, he thought…
But, right before going through with his plan, a voice from Inside asked him…
“What if everything you believe about everything was WRONG? Would it change how you feel, right now? Would it change what you’re about to do?”
